Meet Sam
With over 10 years’ experience across hospitality, fine dining restaurants, and cellar doors throughout New Zealand and internationally, Sam brings both expertise and genuine passion to every Vine to Table experience. Currently completing his WSET Diploma, he has built his career around creating exceptional guest experiences and sharing the stories behind the wines we drink.
Known for his warm, engaging, and approachable hosting style, Sam believes wine should feel enjoyable and accessible to everyone — regardless of prior knowledge or experience. Combining extensive industry knowledge with relaxed sophistication, he creates tastings that are educational, memorable, and genuinely fun.
Meet AJ
AJ works behind the scenes keeping Vine to Table running smoothly — from enquiries and administration through to business operations and social media. If you get in touch with us, there’s a good chance you’ll hear from her first.
While she may not always be front and centre at events, AJ plays a huge role in bringing every Vine to Table experience together, ensuring everything feels seamless, organised, and thoughtfully executed from start to finish.
Our StoryVine to Table was born from a simple idea: wine should be enjoyed, explored and shared, without the pretentiousness that so often surrounds it.
In the winter of 2022, we opened the doors to our boutique wine shop and launched a monthly membership featuring carefully curated, bespoke wine boxes. The response was incredible. We built a loyal community of wine lovers and were excited about what lay ahead. Then, life had other plans. At the same time as launching the business, we discovered we were expecting our first child. While the business was thriving and gaining momentum, we made the difficult decision to close the shop at Christmas and focus on our growing family.
Two years later, with a fresh perspective and the same passion for wine, Vine to Table evolved into something even more aligned with who we are. Today, we specialise in private wine tastings, bespoke client gifting featuring premium wines, exclusive wine memberships and personalised cellar curation. We also collaborate closely with event planners, businesses and private chefs to create memorable wine experiences tailored to every occasion.
At the heart of everything we do is a commitment to making wine approachable for everyone, along with sharing the stories behind those who create each bottle. Whether you're just starting your wine journey or looking to deepen your knowledge, we believe wine education and enjoyment should be accessible, engaging, and fun.
